Next Generation Online Food Delivery System Launched
Lancashire-based web developers, SiliconMills, have produced an online snack and meal ordering system directed at a market estimated, for sandwiches alone, of £3.2 billion per year (src: Datamonitor).
Aimed at caterers, city-centre deli's, restaurants and the like, the system displays realtime ordering information to the supplier, allows delivery areas to be set and rellevant menus to appear according to the time of day.
What sets it apart, however, is a unique and easy-to-use interface that provides all product and transaction data on a single screen. The developer considers this to represent a "next-generation e-commerce application".
Their claim can be checked at www.siliconmills.co.uk which offers a link to an unrestricted working demo. There you can try out both the user and supplier elements simultaneously and in effect watch your "order" being processed over the Internet.
