Once a stand-up comic, Miriam is now an autobiographical cartoonist and loves the whole process of making cartoons -- writing and drawing. She is married, lives in San Francisco, has a nine-year-old son and was diagnosed with breast cancer just five years ago.
Cancer Made Me a Shallower Person is humor -- sometimes dark, all times real. By no means is cancer a funny subject. However, if humor is a tool that gets us through some of life's toughest moments, this book is the hardware store for cancer patients.
