Student Cash Back Website Launches at 4uni.co.uk

To coincide with the start of fresher weeks, 4uni.co.uk (http://www.4uni.co.uk ) - a cash back website aimed at UK students based on what they like to buy - launches on 5 September, 2006. Using the site, students can make their loans stretch further and earn cash back on commonly made purchases at over 500 online shops and services including Apple, Ebay, BT Broadband, Sky, American Express and PC World.
Jon Brown, MD of 4uni.co.uk, explains: "The national student market has an estimated spending power of £10 billion per annum* and an ever-increasing percentage of students' funds is now spent online. Meanwhile, the average student debt runs to around 13K by the end of a degree course. With a prudent eye on their money, 4uni.co.uk offers students the chance to receive some of the money they spend back."
He adds: "Our aim is to make student loans go that bit further by offering cash back on things that students always buy such as electrical goods, clothes, food, gifts, banking, phones, insurance and holidays."
Any UK based student can sign up free of charge with 4uni.co.uk and immediately start benefiting. Once logged into the site, users can click to visit over 500 websites and earn cash back, which can then be withdrawn or spent in 4uni.co.uk's own shop which sells vouchers, gifts and student life essentials.
The community-style website also features reviews, forums, blogs and competitions. The ethos of the community is to make online shopping safe, rewarding and cheaper.

Based in Newcastle Upon Tyne, 4uni.co.uk is a student brand set up by 23 year olds Jon Brown (computer science graduate) and Chris Cain (design graduate) in 2005. The cash back website is the first completed project in a planned series of five.
