Turkey struggling to maintain its tourism potential

Different factors have affected turkish tourism in a negative way. Last year’s bird flue was followed by the carricatur crises which started in Denmark. The recent time’s bomb blasts in Marmaris and Antalya had a negative impact.
Of course, it is not only the above-mentioned factors which affected the tourism in Turkey negatively. Turkey has long been a popular tourist destination, but there are many competitors. Therefore it is a matter of price and quality. Many claim that prices in Turkey have gone up and this has had a negative influence on the middle-class potential tourists, who have to look at their budgets. An other main reason is seemingly that Turkey has not been able to build on the successes and it has not been able to create new attractions.
Whatever the argumentations are , I as a tour guide in Turkey, believe that Turkey is indispensible with its nice beaches, friendly people and historical and cultural attractions.
