Imperato For President 2008 Independent Presidential Campaign Names Robert Culp As Its Deputy Coordi

West Palm Beach, Florida – August 22, 2006 - Today, Webster Brooks, Independent Vice-Presidential candidate announced that Robert Culp will serve as the Imperato-Brooks 2008 deputy coordinator for the state of Ohio.

"We are happy and very fortunate to have Mr. Culp join our team in the critical state of Ohio. His interest in expanding the independent movement and working with our new centrist Third Party 'Independent America' is a welcomed addition to our campaign," stated Brooks.

Mr. Culp, 33 is a businessman and Warren, Ohio. Culp volunteered to work with the campaign after viewing Daniel Imperato's August 16, Washington D.C. press conference that was televised live nationally on C-SPAN cable television. Afterwards he commented that "Educating the public from a new direction is something I've have always believed in and the independent party has given me an opportunity to focus my efforts in that direction. I'm contributing my time to help spread this knowledge and information to the ears of the people that need to hear this message and platform. Educating the public is a way I see the independent party progressing."

At the press conference, Imperato called on Americans that want to break with the ineffective policies and leadership of the Democrats and Republicans to join the ranks of the growing Independent movement. The Chairman of the Virginia Independent Party, four independent congressional candidates, and one U.S. Senate candidate joined Imperato at the press conference.

Mr. Culp said that although he has not taken on a political role like this before, he welcomes the opportunity to get involved and will encourage others to do the same. About Webster Brooks, Vice Presidential Candidate
Webster Brooks was born in Colorado (1956) to an Army family and was raised in Detroit. In Detroit, Brooks saw the pride and spirit of Middle America growing up in a town that was heavily influenced by the auto industry and Motown music. Twenty Four years later, he ran for Mayor of Washington DC in 1990 as independent, and then worked with many democrats, republicans and independent in politics. In 2002, Brooks’ organization, The National Black Republican Network, became the most popular public forum for Black conservatives and Republicans, but included independents as well. Brooks was named as one of ‘The 20 Most Influential Black Conservatives’ by Headway Magazine and an ‘Intellectual Tour de Force’ by the Detroit News. During this time, Brooks chaired the National Congress of Black Conservatives and the National Black Coalition for School Choice. He currently resides in Hartford, CT with his loving family.
