Added: (Fri Sep 19 2008)

Let the tale begin, so said once a Wiseman, a tale about
two Mobile phones involved in a story which is called O2 XDA Stellar VS Sony Ericsson W850i. This is a story about excellence and also about performance.

The magic unfolds in the opening chapters which illustrate the
power and the might of these two handsets in terms of their coverage
capacity. The O2 XDA Stellar takes the problem of coverage and
reduces it to a solution with the help of both the 2G as well as the
3G network. Its helpers in this sense are the GSM networks with their
multiple frequencies(GSM 850, GSM 900, GSM 1800, GSM 1900) and the
HSDPA networks also with the frequencies of 850,1900 and 2100. The
Sony Ericsson W850i is also a capable phone with the power to provide
total coverage with the help of the 2G network( consisting mainly GSM
networks with the frequencies of 900 1800 and 1900) and the 3G
network of UMTS 2100. Both these handsets hence serve as effective
mobile devices when it comes to the question of using them all over
the world.

Both of these mobile devices also are good data storage gadgets
and hence have commendable memory capacities. Therefore the O2 XDA
Stellar performs quite well in this regard with the help of a
Qualcomm MSM7200 processor which performs at the rate of 400 MHz.
There is a total of 256 MB ROM and 128MB RAM. The option to increase
the memory also exists in the form of the choice to take a
microSD(TransFlash) memory card. The Sony Ericsson W850i is also a
good mobile device as far as the power of information storage is
concerned. Hence this device has a total of 16 MB of shared memory
and comes with a card slot. This card slot gives the option of
increasing the memory with the help of a Memory Stick Duo Pro.

Both the O2 XDA Stellar and Sony Ericsson W850i have marvellous
multimedia features. The former has a 3.2 MP camera which can take
pictures having a resolution of about 2048 x 1536 pixels and also
another VGA camera. Hence the feature of video calling becomes
evident and the quality is also enhanced with the presence of the
autofocus feature. The latter has a 2 MP camera which allows the user
to take the user to take a picture which bears a decent resolution of
1600 x 1200 pixels. The Sony Ericsson W850i also has a secondary
camera and hence supports the feature of video calling.

When the chapter of music and video shows its face in this tale of
the excellence of these two handsets, both of them show many features
which make them into good music and video phones. The O2 XDA Stellar
has a media player in its 10th version and also has a video album.
There is also an audio album and this mobile device is a handsfree
device as well. This feature makes these multimedia facets more
effective. The Sony Ericsson W850i is a dedicated music patron with a
Walkman 2.0 music player and also a FM radio with RDS feature. Hence
the user can listen to songs that he can acquire with the help of the
music player and also enjoy the tunes of songs being played in the
channels present in the FM radio.

The looks of both the devices seek attention and are quite capable
of making an user stare at them in astonishment and wonder. Both of
the handsets are therefore style icons in terms of the display
screens and their wonderful resolutions. The display screen of the O2
XDA Stellar has a size of about 2.8 inches and is a TFT type of
screen with the resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. The total number of
colours that this screen is capable of supporting is about 65K
colours. The Sony Ericsson W850i also fares well in terms of looks
and hence has a TFT screen which is about 2.0 inches and can support
a total of 256K colours. The resolution of this TFT screen is also
good and is 240 x 320 pixels. The epic known as O2 XDA Stellar VS
Sony Ericsson W850i is therefore wonderful.
